Mission and vision
A child lives inside every one of us — sometimes mischievous, sometimes stubborn, one who loves obstacles, novelty and adventure. That child never gives up and always keeps moving towards the goal. Fear of the weather never stops the games in the yard with friends, and the questions never end, because the world is there to be learnt. Discoveries made then are remembered for a lifetime.
It was exactly that love of discovery and adventure, the wish for every child to know the happiness of finding a favourite book and reading it for the first time, and the aim that nobody should ever lose their inner child, that led us to the idea called BookBridge.
We could not have written this story without you. We believe the joy that comes with it has to be shared, and told to everyone who wants to become part of a good story.
Our mission
We carry books to where they are awaited most. Our mission is to provide the pupils of Georgia's highland schools with the literature they wish for, so that the school environment becomes more interesting and the children's everyday life more varied.
Our vision
We want to build a solid, unbroken bridge between book donors and mountain schools. We believe geography should never be a barrier to education and new discoveries. Our goal is for every highland school in Georgia to have a modern library.
Who builds this bridge?
The main force in this great undertaking is you: the book donors and volunteers. With your help, books sent from different cities gather at our partner locations and continue their way to the mountains.
