Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or otherwise using BookBridge, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You may browse BookBridge at any age. To create an account, donate, manage a school, or arrange a handover, you must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent where you live), or have the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. School and partner-location accounts must be managed by someone authorized to represent that organization.

Book donations are gifts

BookBridge facilitates in-kind donations of books to schools. It does not take or process money, and it charges users nothing. Please note:

• Donated books are voluntary gifts to the school you choose. Once handed over, a donation cannot be returned or refunded.
• You confirm that you own the books you donate and have the right to give them away.
• Books should be in usable, age-appropriate condition and suitable for the school you choose.
• BookBridge and its partner locations help coordinate and forward donations but are not a licensed courier; delivery timelines are best-effort.
• Schools and partner locations are responsible for the accuracy of the information they publish and for handling donations responsibly.

Acceptable use

When using BookBridge, you agree that you will not:

• Use BookBridge for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or inappropriate information, or impersonate a school or person.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
• Disrupt, overload, probe, or attempt to break the service or its security.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is offensive or unlawful.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the service or its users at risk.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

BookBridge is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it running and to deliver donated books, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, or that a donation will reach its destination within any particular time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookBridge and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (the country). Any dispute relating to them will be subject to the competent courts of Tbilisi, Georgia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you may have where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use BookBridge after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
